राजनीतिक जीवन
शैलेश सिंह शैलू समाजवादी पार्टी से जुड़े हुए हैं। वे समाजवादी छात्र सभा के बहराइच जिले के पूर्व जिलाध्यक्ष रहे हैं। वर्तमान में वे समाजवादी युवजन सभा के राज्य उपाध्यक्ष हैं और अलीगढ़ मंडल के प्रभारी के रूप में कार्य कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान युवाओं के बीच पार्टी की सक्रियता बढ़ाने में अहम भूमिका निभाई है। उन्हें अखिलेश यादव द्वारा राजनीति में आने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया गया था।
